Personal reflection/About a style

About a style:
One day a person asked me; why I don't paint in just one way, that is, in one style, and he also told me that according to him, many well-known artists in the area where I live have a style that makes their work easily recognizable.
Well, my answer was this and it is what I think, as well as other well-known artists who think like me:

The artist who only paints in one way does so because he feels comfortable painting in that way or because of the success in terms of sales (that is, art galleries want that way of painting because it sells), however, it may be that in addition to that way of painting he makes other works with a completely different style and it is not known. It could also be, for example, that he only enjoys painting this way or that he has always painted this way because it is simply his way of expressing himself with the brush.

If we look at well-known artists such as Picasso or Dalí among many others, throughout their career they have evolved and varied in their style and according to their time. Perhaps their most well-known works may have the same style but it is given by an evolution.
So my reflection is the following, the style that one has at a given moment in one's career is determined by an evolution and the way in which this evolution can change. Another way of saying it would be that the artist who always paints in the same way has stopped evolving in terms of his art and can be subject to the influences imposed on him by the demand for his work by the galleries.

The freedom to paint what one wants and in the way one likes allows one to continue evolving.
